ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
The Black Hills Fat Tire Festival is a four day festival starting on the Friday before Memorial Day each year, and running through to the Memorial Holiday afternoon, this year's festival will include rides, races, raffles, demos as well as the 1st Annual Fat Tire Film Festival. The Film Festival will screen a selection of short films, from filmmakers across the country and around the world and award top honors in the list categories.
The Black Hills Fat Tire Festival Film Festival celebrates two phases of filmmaking – Program “A” the "Budget" phase (where their skills and talents meet the means of powerful storytelling) and Program “B” the "No-Budget" phase (where a filmmaker's creativity and imagination extend beyond their financial means) We welcome, encourage, and promote both -- they're integral to the development of skilled storytellers!
The aim of the festival is threefold:

To Showcase the filmmakers of tomorrow

To Showcase mountain bike adventures

To Expand the BHFTF to the community by reaching out and sharing what we do
SELECTED SHORT FILMS
The length of screening will depend on how many entries we receive.. Program A (Budget) will premiere on Thursday evening at the Firehouse Brewing Company 3rd Floor, with a repeat screenings of several of the films on Friday during the Fat Tire Social. Program B (No-Budget) will premiere on Sunday evening again at the Firehouse Brewing Company. The screening will conclude with an Awards Ceremony and closing night party after the awards.
